Individual courses:
During a theoretical and practical course the students will be supervised by our experienced colleagues of the Dissection and Positioning Department. They can also use our teaching centre with its internet workstations, a selection of high-quality specialist literature and a number of teaching specimens and prototypes for their theoretical self-study. Our facilities are equipped according to the demands of the course. We offer courses for:
- physicians - students - pupils and - apprentices as well as for the following target groups:
- medical specialists and general practitioners - physiotherapists - orthopaedists - osteopaths - nurses and geriatric nurses - sports therapists - paramedics - natural health professionals - and all other health staff Objective:
The objective of our facility and our courses is to acquire a better understanding of the anatomy of the human body, e.g. by: - learning with the help of lifelike silicone specimens in their unique three-dimensional complexity - illustrating the topography of inner organs by means of coloured plastinated slices - blood vessel configurations that illustrate the smallest and most filigree blood vessels, and by - demonstrating dissection steps and - if requested - hands-on practice using formalin-fixed wet specimens under the guidance of our competent specialist staff Teaching materials:
Specialist books and textbooks as well as dissected formalin-fixed humid specimens and plastinated anatomical specimens are at your disposal. In addition to that formalin-fixed humid specimens can be used by the students, if required, for their own dissection work to be carried out under guidance. Contents:
The courses can only be compiled individually because the learning content must be arranged in advance. The learning content and the curriculum of the courses depend on the target group, the desired topics and the educational objective. Samples of topics are: - Systematic structure of the human body according to organ systems - Active and passive musculoskeletal system - Positioning, supply and physiology of the torso organs - Anatomy of the brain and arterial supply, in particular ventricle dissection - Learning by using formalin-fixed specimens of body parts and whole body specimens - Dissection of formalin-fixed specimens Accommodation:
Accommodation is provided in our guesthouse. The Plastinarium offers a limited number of standard hotel rooms with en-suite bathroom and shower (without boarding) for EUR 27.00 per person per day. We can also provide you with contact details of B&B's and hotels in Guben and nearby and are happy to help you with the reservation of rooms. Prices:
