The PLASTINARIUM tour will take you through three sections.
The third part of the PLASTINARIUM constitutes the exhibition hall. Here, famous whole-body plastinates are exhibited. Guben hosts the only permanent BODY WORLDS exhibition that can be experienced year-round! About 150 individual specimens and 15 whole-body plastinates reveal the inner structure and function of the human body from the human skeleton and its interplay with the muscles, to the functions of the inner organs of the respiratory tract and the digestive organs, to the nervous and cardiovascular systems. Furthermore it is possible to have a look at a various number of sheet plastinates and blood vessels configurations. The functions of the individual organ systems are shown as well as disease based organ transformations, such as
degenerative joint disease, myocardial infarction, or the damage caused
by many years of smoking. The PLASTINARIUM thus makes
a valuable contribution to health promotion.
