Guided tour 1. Guided tour through PLASTINARIUM/ Anatomical Teaching Center This
guided tour shows three areas of the PLASTINARIUM. First the visitor
learns about the history of anatomy, preservation and plastination
techniques. Followed by the Learning and Teaching workshop that is
divided into five stations. These stations are equipped with real
plastinates and specific training aids depending on the subject. They
grant the visitor detailed knowledge of the movement apparatus, heart
circulation system, digestive tract, nervous system and the urogenital
system. New highlight: The walk ends with the visit of the show space
and salesroom. Event: Monday till Friday at least twice a day, Saturday and Sunday with registration Duration: about 2 hours, 15-20 participants
2. Tour of the company facilities This
guided tour begins where the PLASTINARIUM/ Anatomical Teaching Center
tour ends. Beginning with an overview from the rooftop the history of
the production buildings, the town and the Gubener Plastinate GmbH
presents itself. The visitor is shown the most important production
stations, from the delivery site of the body donor up to the hardening
of the plastinate. Event: Monday till Friday at least once a day, Saturday and Sunday with registration Duration: about 2 hours, 15-20 participants
3. Day Tickets With
a day ticket one acquires free access to the learning workshop. Pupils,
students, trainees and anatomically enthusiasts who wish to deepen
their anatomical knowledge in self-study are invited to explore the
five stations: Movement apparatus, heart circulatory system, digestive
tract, nervous system and urogenital system which are all equipped with
real plastinates, models, specific books and posters. Event: workdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday with registration Duration: 12 hours
ClassesTo
support a high-quality education, plastination and dissection classes
supervised by MD Gunther von Hagens will be offered regularly:
In the plastination course the
participants learn the preservation technology of the plastination in a
workshop of several days. Besides, they learn, supervised by
experienced employees, various plastination steps in a newly built
learning area. In the dissection course
the participant acquires theoretical knowledge about the anatomy and
applies it for deepening in practice. The course gives an overview
about the basic structures of the body. The anatomical structures
learnt in the theory are practiced in the practical part of the course.
Use as a training and conference center The
rooms available for rent are seminar rooms (up to 30 people), the
learning workshop and the dissection hall. Teaching and learning
materials such as plastinates, specific books, models, poster boards
and modern media (internet connection, video projector, whiteboards,
etc.) are made available. The dissection hall can be used for
dissection as well as operation courses. Prices on inquiry.
